Norfolk Bowling Club
The Norfolk Bowling Club, is located in the Cathedral City of Norwich in the East Anglian county of Norfolk. We have two outdoor greens (one not currently in use) and seven indoor rinks. We are affiliated to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd and both the Men's and Ladies Indoor and Outdoor County Associations and offer competitive bowls, to those who want it, at National, County and club level in both team and individual formats.
We welcome new members from 8 to 80 and beyond, whether an experienced player or new to our wonderful game, please use our website to gain more information on the history of our club, which celebrated its centenary in 2022, and what we can offer. 1st March - Atherley Trophy 28/2 - yesterday the club hosted the National Inter County Ladies Atherley Trophy match between Norfolk & Essex, with Norfolk coming out on top and progressing to the national semi-final in defence of their 2024/5 title.
The county have thanked the club for hosting the match and commented that it was good to see so many spectators there from both sides and well done to the club staff for all their hard work.
We naturally wish the ladies the very best of luck in the rest of the competition and hope they can make it back to back titles.
26th February - Indoor AGM 26/3 - notice is hereby given of the Norfolk BC Indoor Section AGM to be held on Thursday 26th March at 7pm. Please click here for additional information.
As a reminder this will be the first AGM following the merger of the Ladies & Men's committees and therefore ALL committee positions and team captains for 2026/27 will need nominations.
26th February - Outdoor Leagues - posters for all the outdoor leagues are now pinned up on the indoor club notice board under OUTDOOR SECTION. If you would like to play in any of the teams please put your full name on the appropriate poster. Phil Richards Club Captain.
21st February - National U30 Double Rink - congratulations to our U30 Double Rink team who earlier today won their national quarter final against Bromley IBC 36-30 in a match played at the neutral venue of Colchester IBC.
They will now play against Egham IBC in the semi final at Nottingham on 18th April, with the winner progressing to the final later the same day against the winner of York/Spalding or Solihull.
20th February - Outstanding Domestic League Games - members will be aware that there are a significant number of outstanding domestic league games. Whilst our thanks go to those team captains who have made arrangements to get these played, it has now reached the point where the club must intervene. Therefore, ALL outstanding league games have now been scheduled and updated in Bowlr.
Team captains with outstanding games are requested to collect from the bar in person, their list of matches which details the new dates which have been set. Alternatively, please click here for details (you will need to page through the document).
20th February - Club Vacancies - there are many roles undertaken voluntarily at Norfolk Bowling Club, to keep the club running as best we can for the members to be able to enjoy playing bowls.
Unfortunately, despite the sterling efforts of a relatively small number of people we are beginning to find that we are becoming unable to keep up with the demands of the club.

General Notices
National & County Competition Bookings via Bowlr - please click here for important information in relation to the booking of rinks for national and county competitions via Bowlr.
Rink Bookings - members are reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or at the very least on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
Bowlr Domestic Leagues Fixtures - some domestic league games will be moved, in line with club policy, to a different rink to accommodate national/county bookings. Please check Bowlr or the TV screen in the hallway on arrival for a game to check the rink allocated for a match.
Website / Facebook Updates - whilst the editors of the website and our Facebook page endeavour to keep up with results and news, please let Chris Taylor or Helen Jamieson know of any news you feel should be shared. This is especially important as we reach the final stages of club and individual national/county competitions.
