Norfolk Bowling Club
The Norfolk Bowling Club, is located in the Cathedral City of Norwich in the East Anglian county of Norfolk. We have two outdoor greens (one not currently in use) and seven indoor rinks. We are affiliated to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd and both the Men's and Ladies Indoor and Outdoor County Associations and offer competitive bowls, to those who want it, at National, County and club level in both team and individual formats.
We welcome new members from 8 to 80 and beyond, whether an experienced player or new to our wonderful game, please use our website to gain more information on the history of our club, which celebrated its centenary in 2022, and what we can offer. 15th February - Club Vacancies - there are many roles undertaken voluntarily at Norfolk Bowling Club, to keep the club running as best we can for the members to be able to enjoy playing bowls.
Unfortunately, despite the sterling efforts of a relatively small number of people we are beginning to find that we are becoming unable to keep up with the demands of the club.

15th February - Weekend updates - congratulations to our ladies in the Yetton Plate QF, with a resounding 108-45 win against Scunthorpe played at Grantham. Semi-final will be played on Saturday 14th March, against Gelding & District, to be played at Huntingdon IBC commencing at midday.
The Men's B team had a hard fought home game against Acle in the county league with the final score 58 Norfolk B (1) Acle B 62 (6).
7th February - Ladies Update -the Ladies A team played their second county league match in three days today, away at Lowestoft and came away with another great result getting 7 points in a 61-46 win..
6th February - Ladies Update - our Ladies A team went to County Arts yesterday for their latest county league match against County Arts A and came away with a 7-1 (62-58) win. An excellent performance and result against a good team. Thanks to County Arts for their hospitality.

3rd February - New Bar Opening Times - for clarification from the article in the newsletter the weekday bar opening times are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 10.30am to 2.30pm, then 5.30pm to 9.30pm. On Tuesdays the bar will open 11.30am to 2.30pm, then 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
2nd February - OUTDOOR COUNTY NEWS - new website www.norfolkbowls.co.uk
After extensive time & a lot of work our new website is LIVE as is the on-line entry to our 2026 County Championships & County League is OPEN. Entries to the 2026 County Championships & the County League will close on 27th February 2026.
To access the new website we have used the same address as our current website namely www.norfolkbowls.co.uk Competition & League entries are made via a Portal and to go to this just click on the PORTAL Tab at the top of the website Home page.

26th January - Egham Trophy - based on updates to the EIBA competition portal, our Egham Trophy team lost 68-85 in the quarter final against Solihull IBC played at Hunstanton yesterday morning, click here for match result details
26th January - Ladies Update - the ladies A team played their final home fixture of the season on Saturday 24th against Acle A. It was a good game between 2 teams who know each other well and was played in a good spirt. Our ladies came out on top on this occasion with a 81-41 win. securing 6 points. We now have four away fixtures to complete so a challenging end to the season but we can hopefully secure some nice points so keep us in contention - Jackie Devitt A team Captain
18th January - Top Club - congratulations to our mixed team who today overcame Spalding in the Top Club with a 8-8 (89-78) victory.
They now progress to the semi final to be played on Saturday 28th March at Nottingham, against Solihull, with winner progressing to the final to be played Sunday 29th.
General Reminders
National & County Competition Bookings via Bowlr - please click here for important information in relation to the booking of rinks for national and county competitions via Bowlr.
Rink Bookings - members are reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or at the very least on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
Bowlr Domestic Leagues Fixtures - some domestic league games will be moved, in line with club policy, to a different rink to accommodate national/county bookings. Please check Bowlr or the TV screen in the hallway on arrival for a game to check the rink allocated for a match.
Website / Facebook Updates - whilst the editors of the website and our Facebook page endeavour to keep up with results and news, please let Chris Taylor or Helen Jamieson know of any news you feel should be shared. This is especially important as we reach the final stages of club and individual national/county competitions.
