Norfolk Bowling Club
The Norfolk Bowling Club, is located in the Cathedral City of Norwich in the East Anglian county of Norfolk. We have two outdoor greens (one not currently in use) and seven indoor rinks. We are affiliated to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd and both the Men's and Ladies Indoor and Outdoor County Associations and offer competitive bowls, to those who want it, at National, County and club level in both team and individual formats.
We welcome new members from 8 to 80 and beyond, whether an experienced player or new to our wonderful game, please use our website to gain more information on the history of our club, which celebrated its centenary in 2022, and what we can offer. 7th June - Yare League update - A-Team played Tuesday 3rd of June. We had a tough match at Heartsease St Francis. Unfortunately, we lost 6-1, but they are top of the table. Next match is Tuesday, the 10th June at Thorpe recreation - Report Phil Richards
7th June - Ladies update - NBC Ladies played 1st round of County Webb Trophy Thursday 5th, against Martham and came away winners by one shot, winning by 3 at home and losing by 2 away. Well done to all ladies on a cold and damp night, and we next play on 10th July against either Connaught or Holt - Report Jackie Devitt
5th June - International Squads 2025 - congratulations to Ellie Johnson who has been selected in the Women's U25 team (click here), to Katherine Rednall and Rebecca Willgress for selection to the Women's Senior team (click here) and finally to Wayne Willgress for selection to the Men's Senior team (click here)
30th May - Charlie Boon Memorial Tournament - the annual Charlie Boon Tournament will be held on Saturday 19th July, please click here for more details. A small number of entry slots remain available if you wish to enter a team. There will be a cash only BBQ running throughout the day, and donations of cakes would be most welcome for the cake stall.
20th May - EIBA National Competitions 2025-26 - Only 2 weeks left to enter the EIBA Winter 2025-26 competitions, with entries closing on 8th June.
18th May - County Ladies : Walker Cup - Congratulations the Norfolk County Ladies Walker Cup team who over this weekend played the regional finals at St Neots and successfully won all three games and have qualified for the National Quarter Finals at Leamington in August.

15th May - Outdoor Competitions - members are reminded the entry forms for outdoor competitions are pinned to the main notice board. The closing date is Friday, 20th of June. Those wishing to enter should fill in the form and leave your entry free along with the form with the bar staff. Alternatively, you can post the money together with the form through the rink fee letterbox. Phil Richards. Competition Secretary.
National & County Competition Bookings via Bowlr - please click here for important information in relation to the booking of rinks for national and county competitions via Bowlr.
Rink Bookings - members are reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
Website / Facebook Updates - whilst the editors of the website and our Facebook page endeavour to keep up with results and news, please let Chris Taylor or Helen Jamieson know of any news you feel should be shared. This is especially important as we reach the final stages of club and individual national/county competitions.
