Norfolk Bowling Club
The Norfolk Bowling Club, is located in the Cathedral City of Norwich in the East Anglian county of Norfolk. We have two outdoor greens (one not currently in use) and seven indoor rinks. We are affiliated to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd and both the Men's and Ladies Indoor and Outdoor County Associations and offer competitive bowls, to those who want it, at National, County and club level in both team and individual formats.

22nd June - Extreme Weather Guidance
With the extreme weather warning issued for the rest of this week, we urge all members to consider the important guidance on playing in such conditions. While common sense should always prevail, the following advice is offered to assist further:
- Hydration is Key: Ensure you stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Please avoid dehydrating beverages such as alcohol and caffeinated drinks. Kitchens in the clubhouses will be open to allow members to obtain cold water.
- Outdoors Seek Shade and Protect Yourself: Whenever possible, remain in the shade. Try to avoid strenuous physical exertion during the hottest parts of the day (11-3). Always remember to wear a hat and apply sun cream.
- Indoors: It is permissible to open fire exit doors, for ventilation, provided that the access to or through them is not obstructed. However, no Fire Door (as marked with a sign) must be propped open. Please ensure any fire exit doors, which have been opened, are fully closed when leaving the building.
- Consider if the match must be completed at that time or could be delayed, as regarding conditions due to inclement weather should always prioritise player welfare.
Whilst we want everyone to enjoy playing in the warm sunny conditions, your welfare is the priority.
22nd May - Outdoor Competitions 2026 - the Outdoor Club Competitions entry forms are now available in the outdoor clubhouse, with a closing date of 26th June
Club Vacancies - there are many roles undertaken voluntarily at Norfolk Bowling Club, to keep the club running as best we can for the members to be able to enjoy playing bowls.

General Notices
National & County Competition Bookings via Bowlr - please click here for important information in relation to the booking of rinks for national and county competitions via Bowlr.
Rink Bookings - members are reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or at the very least on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
Bowlr Domestic Leagues Fixtures - some domestic league games will be moved, in line with club policy, to a different rink to accommodate national/county bookings. Please check Bowlr or the TV screen in the hallway on arrival for a game to check the rink allocated for a match.
Website / Facebook Updates - whilst the editors of the website and our Facebook page endeavour to keep up with results and news, please let Chris Taylor or Helen Jamieson know of any news you feel should be shared. This is especially important as we reach the final stages of club and individual national/county competitions.
