Norfolk Bowling Club
The Norfolk Bowling Club, is located in the Cathedral City of Norwich in the East Anglian county of Norfolk. We have two outdoor greens (one not currently in use) and seven indoor rinks. We are affiliated to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd and both the Men's and Ladies Indoor and Outdoor County Associations and offer competitive bowls, to those who want it, at National, County and club level in both team and individual formats.
We welcome new members from 8 to 80 and beyond, whether an experienced player or new to our wonderful game, please use our website to gain more information on the history of our club, which celebrated its centenary in 2022, and what we can offer. 11th November - Potters World Championships - Potters World Championships
Closing date by 22nd November 2024.
Update on the World Championships offer, following contact with the Potters Resort today the only group booking now available to members at the discounted price is Sunday 12th January 2025 (all other dates are now sold out) £15 per person which covers entrance fee, two course lunch and 5 games of bowls to watch, Wayne Willgress is scheduled to play in The Open Pairs, please click here for more details

8th November - Monday Evening Open Sets Pairs - following a query raised last week, for clarification ALL the shots scored in a tiebreak are taken into account not just the winner of the tiebreak. The rules for this league have been available via the website since the league was introduced and also when entries were sought in February/March, please click here for details

4th November - Norfolk BC Ladies News - Our season started with county league game v Roundwood away. Unfortunately we were outplayed on the day and lost 1-7 (43-71), we welcome them back to NBC on 9th November and look forward to trying to reverse the result. We then played the club B team and after a good tussle managed to come out 7-1 victors (70-54).
The game against Lowestoft that was due to be played on 31/10 has been rearranged to 23/11 due to sickness in their team.
Last weekend saw us play the first round of the Yetton against County Arts on where we secured a very good win 83-45, including a 32-4 win for Katherine Rednall’s rink, overall it was a great start and team performance.
Sunday saw the first round of the Egham Trophy and again a good win 109-57 with all rinks registering a win.
The next Yetton Trophy game is against Risbygate on 16th Nov with the Egham Trophy v Gallow on 17th Nov, both matches start at 10am with 2 rinks at home and 2 away, supporters will be most welcome! - Report Jackie Devitt
Re-spots - please remember that re-spots now apply, for a killed end, in ALL domestic internal league games and club competitions.
Rink Bookings - members are reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
Website / Facebook Updates - whilst the editors of the website and our Facebook page endeavour to keep up with results and news, please let Chris Taylor and/or Helen Jamieson know of any news you feel should be shared. This is especially important as we reach the final stages of club and individual national/county competitions.
