News (please refresh your browser to ensure you get all recent updates)
11th November - Christmas Lunch 12/12 - the Christmas Lunch is now SOLD OUT
11th November - Domestic League Fixtures - most members will be aware, or have been directly affected, with league game cancellations or rink moves due primarily to the demand for national competition rinks. This is in line with club policy on rink priorities and your support and understanding is appreciated by the club and I hope by those in competitions.
Until such time that any cancelled game has been rearranged the match has been moved to the week commencing 20th April to work within the constraints of Bowlr. This is not the confirmed new date for a game, as this would fall after the 13th April deadline for matches to be played, but simply a holding place for all matches yet to be rearranged.
These games can be viewed in Bowlr and whilst the club will look to help in rescheduling these it would be appreciated if the team captains involved would make arrangements between themselves to agree a new date and advise the league steward or league secretary so that Bowlr may be updated.
Chris Taylor, Indoor League Secretary.
Rink Availability Friday 28/11 - rinks available at 6.30pm for nationals, county and club competitions or rearranged league games. You will need to contact the office by email to contactus@norfolkbc.org.uk to book a rink providing full details of the match to be played.
Rinks will be allocated on a first come first served basis and the club policy on booking priority will apply.
10th November - Club Matchplay Singles - we have 16 entrants in this year's competition and the draw is now live on Bowlr (click here) and will be posted to the competition noticeboard by the end of the week. All entrants have been emailed with details of the draw and the rules.
8th November - Ladies County B Team - today we entertained Hunstanton playing their first County game of the season. After struggling to field a team with no reserves, we achieved a great result through the determination and effort of all players, with a win of NBC 8pts 78 shots - Hunstanton 0pts 38 shots. Well done team - report Rachel Stevenson Captain.
7th November - Men's Club Comps - please be advised that due to the congested club diary over the next fortnight, and clashes with nationals, the club Singles and Pairs next round play by date has been extended to 30/11,
An email has been sent to all entrants confirming this but challengers please ensure games are scheduled promptly, as if necessary games will be awarded as walkovers.
7th November - U30 Club Double Rink - congratulations to our U30 team who overcame Gallow last evening and will now face Ipswich & District on Sunday 23rd November.
2nd November - Yetton Trophy report - the ladies played the 1st round of the Yetton Trophy yesterday against County Arts and after a hard fought encounter came out on the wrong side of a 85-89 result. Congrats to County Arts and all the best for the rest of the competition.
Hard luck to all the ladies especially those who did so well away. We will regroup for the Yetton Plate on 15th November against Gallow - report Jackie Devitt Captain.
