Competition Bookings Online via Bowlr
Members will be aware that one of the features in the Bowlr system is the ability to secure rink bookings for national/county competitions and within this request a specific rink which is part of the club policy on rink allocations and precedence.
The request for a booking will add an entry to Bowlr and also sends an email to the club for information and to prompt any necessary rink moves required to league games or roll-up bookings. However, it has become clear that not all bookings are triggering the email notification to the club and following investigation with the supplier of Bowlr we have identified the issue.
When a booking is made online for ANY national or county competition it is essential that two consecutive sessions (e.g. 6:30pm-8:30pm and 8:30pm-10:30pm) are booked as without this no email notification will be sent to the club. This also applies where a rink reservation is made where two dates are offered to opponents (see link to guide below)
Bowlr does highlight this when the first session slot is booked, that a second session needs to also be booked, as shown in the example of a National Singles booking below where only the first session booking has been made.
Whilst this may seem to be an unnecessary overhead when booking given our current rink use, please follow these guidelines to ensure that we do not have a situation where a match has not been moved or rink allocated as requested or worse that a rink is booked for the session following a competition booking.
