Shortly after the First World War, the Norfolk County Bowling Association, who then played the 21 up game, decided to lay down a new green on which to play important games and the County Cup. Many of the leading players were involved in the footwear industry and the monies were quickly found from a share issue.
It's team effort
The club had a very successful indoor season culminating in National Indoor finals held at Nottingham IBC during March and April.
Our Ladies were successful in securing the National Club title (Yetton Trophy) and runners up in the Vivenne Trophy, whilst also winning the Nationals Fours. Our Men's team were runners up in the National Club (Denny Cup) and also the National Triples, but were triumphant in the National Pairs.
