The Norfolk Bowling Club, is located in the Cathedral City of Norwich in the East Anglian county of Norfolk. We have two outdoor greens (one being reconditioned) and seven indoor rinks. We are affiliated to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd and both the Men's and Ladies Indoor and Outdoor County Associations and offer competitive bowls, to those who want it, at National, County and club level in both team and individual formats.
We welcome new members from 8 to 80 and beyond, whether an experienced player or new to our wonderful game, please use our website to gain more information on the history of our club, which celebrated its centenary in 2022, and what we can offer. 28th November - Live Streaming - we understand that BowlsTV will be live streaming the National Pairs between Danny Cawthorne/Dean Rudling and Aaron Johnson/James Segolo tomorrow (29/11) from Gallow at 7pm details can be found here
27th November - National Competitions - we continue to progress in number of the National club competitions with further rounds to be played before the Christmas
- Thursday 30th November, 10:00am, Vivienne Trophy v Acle
- Friday 8th December, 10:00am, Mason Trophy Ladies A v Ladies B
- Saturday 9th December, 10:00am
- Yetton Trophy v Colchester
- Denny Cup v Turpins
- Sunday 10th December, 10:00am, Egham Trophy v Essex County
The club will then be hosting the Norfolk County teams
- Saturday 16th December, 10:00am, Atherley Trophy Norfolk v Cambridgeshire
- Sunday 17th December 10:00am, U25 Double Rink Norfolk v Suffolk

26th November - Egham Trophy - congratulations to our mixed Egham team who secured a win against Risbygate and will play Essex County in the next round on Sunday 10th December
25th November - Ladies B team - secured a win against Hunstanton this morning in the County League 7-1 (77 to 49). A very enjoyable game - well done ladies on both teams - report by Carole Slaughter
25th November - Under 30 Double Rink - congratulations to our mixed U30 double rink team who overcame St Neots & District earlier today and will now face Ipswich & District in the national quarter final on Saturday 3rd February
24th November - Men's Singles - due to a clash with a national fours between two club teams a number of the scheduled matches 5th December have been rearranged, please click here for details, those affected have been emailed.
Note: rink space now available 5th December 6:30pm for club competition matches.
24th November - Mason Trophy - progress in the National Club competitions continues with wins today for the Mason Ladies A and B teams over Gallow ladies. The next round is Friday 8th December when our A & B teams will face each other.
23rd November - Open Singles Circuit - the club will be hosting an Open Singles Circuit (OSC) event over the weekend 3rd/4th February 2024. Entries, via the EIBA competitions portal, open 09:30 Tuesday 28th November are are limited to the first 48 entrants, please click here for further details
23rd November - HELP WANTED for Open Singles Circuit - the club are looking for markers to cover the first round matches on Saturday 3rd February 6pm and Sunday 4th February 9am, if you are interested please contact the club, via email, for more details
22nd November - Club Competitions - all entrants are reminded that a number of the first rounds are to be played by 31st December and to date very few matches have been arranged or completed.
For the men's championships, entrants must ensure they check when games have been set to be played as a number of these are in December, and if you are unable to play, due to nationals, please contact Chris Taylor asap for alternative arrangements to be made.
22nd November - Rink Bookings - members are asked to ensure that where a rink is no longer required, especially for National bookings, that the booking is removed from the diary. This will ensure that we can make the best use of spare rinks for rearranged leagues or to allow members to book roll-ups.
Members are also reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
18th November - Yetton Trophy & Denny Cup - progress in the National Club competitions continues with wins today for the Ladies Yetton team over Beccles and the Mens Denny team over Gallow.
The next round of both competitions will be played on Saturday 9th December with the Ladies playing Colchester and the Men taking on Turpins.

13th November - Brian Davies - the Club is sad to announce the passing of Brian after a lengthy illness, aged 95. Brian had been a member for many years and had served on several Committees.
The funeral will take place on Friday 1 December at 1.30pm at St. Peters Church, Cringleford
13th November - Ladies Report - our ladies A team had a bad day at the office on Saturday away to Acle losing 7-1, although two of losing rinks were close one rink went down heavily - Report Jackie Devitt
4th November - Norfolk Bowling Club AGM (16/1) - notice is hereby given that the AGM of the Norfolk Bowling Club will be held on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at 7pm, please click here for further information and details
3rd November - EIBA International Trials 2023/24 - congratulations to Norfolk BC members who have been invited to attend the England team trials at the beginning of December, we wish them all the very best of luck
